Our client, an established membership body, are looking to recruit a Network and Infrastructure Manager.
Main duties will be to maintain, secure & develop the IT infrastructure, to ensure the continued provision of secure network, cloud & remote resources required across the organisation with minimal downtime. To provide and secure a multi-layered infrastructure to support multiple business models
Operational Duties:
Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the smooth operation of the Group IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability across key components including Microsoft Teams Telephony, hybrid server environments, networking, cloud platforms, data management, print services, email, and the O365 ecosystem.Guarantee that MIS Service Desk SLA metrics are consistently achieved.
Hands-On Expertise: Regularly engage in hands-on technical work across networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity domains, ensuring best practices are applied. Provide technical leadership for projects requiring in-depth expertise.
Network and System Security: Design, implement, and maintain secure access to internal and cloud-based systems using VPN services. Architect hybrid cloud security solutions, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Federation, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), access control policies, security key management, and firewall rules. Actively monitor and respond to security alerts to mitigate risks.
Technology and Cybersecurity Leadership: Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of the latest technologies, cloud computing advancements, industry best practices, and emerging security solutions. Continuously expand expertise in areas such as hybrid cloud environments, threat detection, and vulnerability remediation to improve organisational capabilities.
Firewall and Compliance Management: Oversee firewall configurations, internal and cloud security policies, and compliance enforcement, including achieving annual Cyber Essentials accreditation. Develop and implement corporate security policies to meet evolving organisational and regulatory requirements.
Threat and Vulnerability Management: Monitor and mitigate threats using advanced detection and remediation strategies to maintain the security of infrastructure, data, and services.
Infrastructure Stability and Development: Deliver and maintain a stable, scalable, and recoverable IT infrastructure with a robust foundation for future development across the ICE Group, including telephony systems and hybrid environments.
Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive design and procedural documentation to standardise processes and ensure consistency across the ICT Team. Maintain a repository of detailed technical guides for training and troubleshooting.
Data Protection and Disaster Recovery: Implement encryption protocols, data security measures, and robust storage, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies. Ensure a reliable DR platform is in place to maintain access to network infrastructure and critical resources during emergencies, supporting continuity of operations.
Crisis and Incident Management: Lead the resolution of complex technical incidents, including critical hardware and software failures, leveraging deep technical expertise in networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Manage disaster recovery processes to achieve successful outcomes.
Research and Development Support: Assist the ICT Manager with research and development initiatives, contributing technical insight to the design, evaluation, and implementation of new platforms, systems, and processes.
Remote Access and Continuity: Ensure secure, uninterrupted access to network resources, including email and cloud systems, for remote and hybrid work scenarios.

Qualifications:
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Microsoft Associate Certification or higher - Likely to hold a relevant professional qualification i.e. CCNA / CCNP / CCIE, VCP, MS Azure Security / Solutions Architect desirable.
Qualifications in ITIL and/or IT Service management required.
